On ANZAC eve, with everyone excluded from the southern part of the Gallipoli Peninsula, our surf boats were positioned at Gallipoli Village and made ready to re-enact the ANZAC landing.
The ANZAC Centenary Dawn Service conducted by Military History Tours at Gallipoli Village featured the re-enactment landing by our Gallipoli 100 Australian and New Zealand surf-boat crews. Music was by the Barker College orchestra and choir, along with pipers from Scotts' College Sydney displaying a quality most present had not experienced at another service.
The service concluded with a wreath-laying in the water by two Australian and one New Zealand boat to mark the loss of three local students in a swimming accident in Spain.
